Cantaloupe Melon

Cantaloupe is a variety of melon from the cantalupensis group, which is medium-sized, with a rough surface and a yellow-orange pulp. It was called that because it was originally brought by Asian Catholic missionaries to the pontifical castle of Cantalupo, a town in lower Sabina about fifty kilometres from Rome.
